ABOUT

Amit Kalra was born near San Francisco, CA. He lives and works in Brooklyn, NY. Kalra has had solo exhibitions at Campbellsville University in Kentucky, Atelier in de Stead at Greylight Projects (Heerlen, NL), and Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. His work has been shown in group exhibitions at SECONDroom (Antwerp, BE) and at the Short Cuts Festival run by Shed Gallery (Milwaukee, WI). He has been a visiting artist at Sarah Lawrence College and a resident at the Vermont Studio Center.

Kalra is a visiting assistant professor at the Pratt Institute. He has been a research associate at the Royal College of Art and a visiting lecturer at the London Metropolitan University. He holds a Master’s Degree from the Royal College of Art and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa.
